Making a complaint or enquiry
Luton Trading Standards and the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline provide free and impartial advice and leaflets to Luton residents, businesses and shoppers on a wide range of consumer issues.
Advice on shopping problems is provided by our Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline service and you can access this by calling them on 03454 04 05 06 or by visiting the Citizens Advice Consumer Advice webpage.
From the 17th Oct 2011, Trading Standards will no longer operate
a drop in personal caller service.
Should you require advice you should contact Consumer Direct in the first instance and if the matter needs to be dealt with by an officer, Consumer Direct can refer the matter to us, and we contact you within 2 working days in order to make an appointment.

Luton Borough Council is committed to providing its services efficiently and effectively. However, occasionally things go wrong and you may not be happy with the service you receive.
It is the policy of the council to respond to all complaints. Our procedures require us to acknowledge all complaints and enquiries within 3 working days. You will be advised of who will be dealing with the matter, the action that will be taken and when you can expect to hear from us. Normally, you should have received a full response within 10 working days. If you have any queries, complaint or suggestion for improvements to service delivery please contact us.
